Let's Make It More Personal

My name is Sasha, but my last name is a bit long for comfort (not that long as some strange words, but still). Should I take a pen name? Maybe. But for now I decided to do business as Sonnet 23 Photography.

Sometimes, people think my name is Sonnet, but it's a reference to Shakespeare. You can guess I love photography and literature (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, romance, etc.). Also, I love art, museums, parks, music, true crime podcasts, psychology, overall science. 

I have MA in Political Science (WashU), but I decided that photography (being my passion since teen ages) is a better fit for my personality. So, in April 2024, I created Sonnet 23 Photography. 

I love my work. I equally enjoy taking and editing pictures. Somehow, I became more focused on taking pictures of romantic love: couples, proposals, engagements, weddings. I do take pictures in other genres too: senior, graduation, family (I do not publish pictures with kids on the Internet), maternity, events (baby showers, birthdays, parties etc.), and just anything I love (my family, buildings, flowers, landscapes, museums).

Sonnet 23 

As an unperfect actor on the stage,
 Who with his fear is put beside his part,
 Or some fierce thing replete with too much rage,
 Whose strength's abundance weakens his own heart;
 So I for fear of trust, forget to say,
 The perfect ceremony of love's rite,
 And in mine own love's strength seem to decay,
 O'ercharged with burthen of mine own love's might:  
 O let my looks be then the eloquence,
 And dumb presagers of my speaking breast,
 Who plead for love, and look for recompense,
 More than that tongue that more hath more expressed.
   O learn to read what silent love hath writ,
   To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit.
